Colin O'Brien

I’m a freelance writer based in Ireland, but I’ve spent a large part of my in Italy. Like most freelancers, I wear several hats, and work regularly as a journalist, copywriter, and translator, when I’m not working on a book of my own. Over the years, I’ve written for some of the leading sports publications globally, and have contributed to national newspapers in Ireland and the UK. My first book, Giro d’Italia: The Story of the World’s Most Beautiful Bike Race, is published by Pursuit Books in the UK, Pegasus in the US. It appears in translation in Italy by Mondadori, in Poland by Wydawnictwo SQN, and in the Netherlands by Uitgeverij Brandt.
